We recently spent the day tromping around New York City with Vice as part of their Uncapped web series. We capped off the evening with an unbelievably fun show at Union Pool in Brooklyn.

On 9/5/11, The Rassle will launch one of their new songs, “21″ as a free download through Clarks Originals. The band was recently flown to London to participate in the brand’s new campaign, which also highlights some other great bands like Little Dragon, Bo Ningen and Jah Buck and Earl Gateshead of the collective Trojan Sound System.  Be sure to let everyone you know about the song launch!!!

If you’re in NYC  this Thursday, come see us and The Morning After Girls at Mercury Lounge.  Should be a good one.  We’re gonna play a couple new songs, one of which will be available September 5th as a free download.  Keep your eyes out for that.

The Rassle participated in Gant Rugger’s new FW11 Collection video lookbook.  The brand uses “Born Free” which you can download for free, along with 3 other songs here.  Came out pretty cool and gets us stoked for sweater weather.  Fuck you Irene!

We recently participated in an HTC campaign, where they went around the country and hung out with bands and chatted about their music, places they like to hang in their city, etc. It was really chill, and fun and we’re stoked to have been among other musicians like Del the Funky Homosapien and a bunch of others. Check it out.

Next Wednesday we are supporting our buds Jump Into the Gospel for their 4 week residency at Pianos NYC.  Brick + Mortar also plays.  We play at 9 sharp, so be sure to get there early, with a drink in hand, cause it’s also Erik’s b-day.  Let’s celebrate!

We’ll be performing at Brooklyn Bowl on Thursday, 5/26.  Tickets are just $5 and you can get them here. The show is part of Deli Magazine’s “B.E.A.F.”.  ?uestlove will be spinning after the show.  Not a bad way to spend a Thursday night, eh?  See you then.

We played D.C. for the third time last night.  As usual, D.C. was GREAT.  Next up:  Wednesday, 5/18 at Bowery Ballroom and 5/20 at Brighton Music Hall, both supporting Sam Roberts Band.  Come out!  And next week, 5/26…headlining gig at Brooklyn Bowl.  $5 bucks.  Get tix here!

A lot of you have been emailing us about not being able to download the EP; we’re fixing the bug and will get it up and running ASAP. Sorry about that, we know it’s annoying!!!

In other news, there’s a lot of really exciting stuff coming up. We’re currently writing and recording TONS of new jams in preparation of a proper full length. More details to follow.
